Following an accident last July involving a young schoolboy on on Turves Road. Our Cheadle Hulme representative, Peter Crossen made it an aim of to support father Shane Cooper in securing an additional Controlled Crossing, for children and vulnerable adults especially, along this busy stretch of Cheadle Hulme.
Last night, the Economy & Regeneration Scrutiny Committee have passed the proposal to secure £150k to make this happen.
Peter is absolutely delighted to have been able to support Shane's campaign and looks forward to seeing this come to life.
This will go to Council for ratification now and there will be proposals and consultations to come, but this is a big win for Shane and everyone who supported the campaign
