Councillors have been informed of upcoming works to Midland Road.
As part of the Council's work to investing in the borough's economic growth, funding is being used to improve roads and footpaths. As part of the programme, the Council will be carrying out carriageway resurfacing works on Midland Road, from Bramhall Lane South to MIdland Walk.
The work is scheduled to commence on the 6th October 2021 and should take one week to complete. Work will be carried out between the hours of 7.30am and 5pm. This is subject to the necessary approvals and weather-permitting.
To carry out this work, traffic flows will be managed using a temporary prohibition of traffic order on Midland Road. This is to minimise disruption and to allow safe working operations to take place. The local diversion for traffic will be via North Park Road and Handley Road.
The attached letter is being sent to residents on the affected route.
