Stockport Conservative Group have responded to news that the Liberal Democrats will seek to form a minority administration to run Stockport Council. Following the outcome of the local elections, Stockport Council is still under NOC, having been run by a minority Labour administration for the past 6 years. No party has an overall majority and Stockport Conservative Group remain the thirdlargest Group on the Council. The decision on who will form the next administration will be taken at Annual Council next week, Thursday 19th May 2022.

However, Stockport Conservative Group remain a robust opposition group and will hold any new administration to account and stand up for the interests of all Stockport residents.
