The Planning application to install a 15-metre- high mobile telephone mast and cabinets on land fronting Chester Road Woodford has been refused by Stockport Councils Planning Officer.
Mike and Brian would like to thank all the Woodford residents for their help and support in opposing this application, signing the petition and writing in with their objections.
The mast and cabinets are large structures, and the proposed site is in a very prominent position in the village. We believe that it is not in keeping with the character of Chester Road.
Commenting on the successful outcome Mike said, “Brian and I are sure residents are delighted that our combined hard work has helped Officers come to this very sensible decision.
“Residents were very concerned at the siting of this mast being proposed on land next to Notcutts Garden Centre.
“The mast is, in our view too high and the boxes on the
grass verges are just an eye sore in this lovely part of Woodford Village.
“The support from residents and the Woodford Neighbourhood Forum has been fantastic.”
