Conservative Parliamentary Candidate, Mary Robinson, today welcomed Cabinet Office Minister and Paymaster General, Francis Maude MP, to Cheadle to speak to local businesses. Mr Maude spoke of the work that the Conservative-led Government is doing to rebalance the economy, create jobs and ease the burdens on small businesses.
The Minister then took questions on a range of issues including HS2, skills, and government procurement contracts for small and medium sized firms.
Mary said, "It was a great opportunity for me to speak to many local businesses, listen to their thoughts and see their ideas for how our country and economy can move forward. Having the opportunity to speak with a Cabinet Minister allowed our local firms to give feedback to those at the centre of government."
