Your local councillors have been busy out on the streets of their wards, reporting problems and making a note of impending remedial works that will affect traffic in the area.
Councillor Alanna Vine has reported this junction for 3 reasons: (1) the sign for Manor Road has been blanked off and needs repainting, (2) the grass growing around the street signs needs cutting and (3) the yellow bollard has been damaged.
Councillor Vine has also reported that the state of the road surfaces on North Park Road and Midland Road is terrible. North Park Road (near Nevill Road school) will be repaired in the summer holidays and Midland Road will be later in the year. In both cases it is not simply a case of micro-asphalting, but the potholes need repairing first before re-surfacing.
Councillor Mike Hurleston has noted remedial work being undertaken on behalf of BT on Woodford Road, Woodford, between 30th June and 1st July, at the junction of Chester Road and Jenny Lane. It will mean the use of temporary two-way traffic signals between 9.30am and 3.30pm.
Likewise, Councillor Hurleston has also noted future works on behalf of BT will take place between 17th and 18th July on Grove Lane, Cheadle Hulme at the junction of Moss Lane. This will again require the temporary use of multi-way signals.
