Your Conservative councillor for Stepping Hill, John Wright, has been made aware of concerns raised by residents in the ward over a planning application. The application in question would see a 5G mast installed on Arundel Avenue, which falls within the Stepping Hill ward boundaries.
Residents have been giving voice to their concerns via social media (primarily Facebook) and by commenting on the planning application on Stockport Council's website (found here). Councillor Oliver Johnstone has also been contacted by constituents eager to make their feelings known on this issue, although the area in question is in Stepping Hill rather than Hazel Grove.
Councillor Wright is well aware of the feelings this planning application has evoked, and understands the potential repercussions the installation of a 50-feet tall mast may have not just on Arundel Avenue, but the surrounding area.
We encourage residents to continue to raise their concerns directly with Stockport Council and with Councillor Wright (on [email protected]). You can also register your comments with the Cheadle Association directly on [email protected].
