Hearing the concerns of residents, Councillor John Wright and the Cheadle Conservatives have launched a campaign to reject the planning application for a 5G mast in Stepping Hill. The planning application would see a 5G mast, just under 60-feet tall, installed on Arundel Avenue in Hazel Grove, which falls within the Stepping Hill ward.
Residents have raised complaints about this proposal from the beginning, rejecting the application as damaging not just to Arundel Avenue but to the wider community. To push ahead with this installation would be to install a large mast on a residential street against the wishes of the community, and Councillor Wright is determined to ensure resident's views are heard by the council.
Please add your voice to the debate and let us know how you feel about this planning application by signing up to our petition, found here. It is vital that residents make themselves heard, as this will affect Arundel Avenue and the surrounding streets, which include homes and businesses.
