The Boundary Commission has published proposed boundary changes that would drastically change the layout of Stockport's political wards.
Whilst the Commission's proposals will not be put to Parliament until March 2023, they are asking that residents in Stockport express their views in a consultation.
Among the proposed changes are the merger of Cheadle Hulme North and South into a unified ward, the creation of a new Norbury ward to replace Stepping Hill and the creation of a new Cheadle East & Cheadle Heath and Cheadle West & Gatley wards. There are also proposed changes to Bramhall North and South.
The consultation ends on 10th January 2022. It is important residents make their views known and we encourage all residents to voice their concerns and respond to the consultation as soon as possible.
