Harrow Estates have submitted an outline application for a new residential-led development comprising the demolition of the existing employment building and structures; the erection of residential dwellings, extra care accommodation, and a local community hub; the creation of new vehicle, cycle and pedestrian connections, open space, landscaping and other associated works
Following on from the original Woodford Garden Village development of 920 homes originally agreed as part of their new build plan passed by Stockport Council in 2015 (ref: DC/053832), this proposal seeks to extend the Village.
Local Conservative Councillor and Woodford resident Peter Crossen highlighted,
"This proposed extension will have a massive impact on residents both here in Woodford and across Bramhall & Cheadle Hulme also. It is vitally important that the council listen to the residents feedback especially around the issue of infrastructure and particularly the lack of doctors, dentists and school places in the local area.”
Peter continued " I encourage all local residents to read these proposals thoroughly and let council planners hear your views.”
We are also keen to hear your views on the proposed plan. Your feedback and comments will inform and ensure your Conservative team across Woodford, Bramhall and Cheadle Hulme can make sure your voice is heard, so please complete the enclosed survey and let us know how you feel.
